The ‘E3 student’ and their learning journey: Interactive textbook as route map
As lecturers, we are acutely aware that higher education (HE) in the UK is an intensely competitive field. Increasing numbers of universities offer increasing numbers of courses to a limited base of students – all of whom pay significant tuition fees and demand value for money in return. Universities face mounting pressures to improve teaching provision - student numbers, contact hours, programme diversity, teaching quality, learning resources, employability, student satisfaction and so on.
